This Privacy Policy explains what information Nylundmedia Inc. ("Nylundmedia", "we", "us"), the operator of HorseNormal, collects when you use the HorseNormal apps and website (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. HorseNormal is a journaling and note-keeping tool for horse owners. It does not provide veterinary or medical advice and is not a substitute for professional care.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you create an account, our identity provider stores your name and email address and a securely hashed password. We never see or store your password in plain text.
• Content you create. Horse profiles, baselines, daily health observations, weight logs, medications, notes, photos you choose to upload, and the vet summaries you generate.
• Subscription information. If you subscribe, your purchase is processed by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or our payment processor. We receive subscription status (active/expired), not your full card details.
• Technical & diagnostic data. Basic logs (e.g., request timing, error reports, device/app version) needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

How we use information

• To provide the Service — store your logs, generate summaries, and sync your data to your account.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To manage your free trial and any subscription.
• To diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your horse's health logs for advertising.

How information is shared

We share information only with service providers who help us run the Service, under appropriate confidentiality and data-protection terms: hosting and database, identity/authentication, email delivery (e.g., account verification and password resets), and app-store/payment processing. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service. If you create a share link for a vet summary, anyone with that link can view that finalized summary until you revoke it.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When your free trial ends we do not delete your data — you can still view and export it. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data and content within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations.

Your rights & choices

• Access & export. You can export all of your data from Settings at any time.
• Deletion. You can delete your account and associated data from Settings, or follow the steps on our account-deletion page (including how to request deletion by email if you can't sign in). Depending on your region, you may also have rights to access, correct, or restrict processing of your information.
• Email. Transactional emails (verification, password reset, billing) are part of the Service; we do not send marketing email without your consent.

Nylundmedia Inc. is based in Alberta, Canada, and handles personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). If you have a concern we haven't resolved, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, scoped access controls, and least-privilege service accounts. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

HorseNormal is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date; material changes may be communicated in-app or by email.
